Commerce is about analyzing trends in the marketplace and producing new goods and services. Our students are taught to take a wide view that both pays careful consideration to the standpoint of the customer and sees things from the perspective of the seller. Using the knowledge and skills of those who have gone before, you can learn new aspects of commerce to open up new markets.
We seek to train businessmen or specialists whose practical ability and international perspective enables them to respond to the various challenges of the modern world, armed with a broad education and specialist knowledge.
Students study the fundamental historical knowledge and methods of theoretical thinking necessary to the study of Economics. Students also acquire an understanding of our socio-economic system and the nature of competition.
Commerce covers a wide field, and students select the areas that most interest them and acquire the basic knowledge germane to that field. Students do research into a specialist theme that they have chosen from the available specialist subjects and seminars. Students also put work into improving the information processing and presentation skills that are in demand in the modern workplace.
Students take the skills and knowledge they have acquired and work to complete a dissertation on a topic of their own choosing. Students may also choose to do research related to the business into which they will be entering upon graduation and lay thereby the foundations for a career.
